In 2002, aged 15, she was voted Miss Young Hellas and in 2006 took part in the Miss Star Hellas competition. This is the longest-running beauty pageant in Greece. The winner of the contest is crowned Star Hellas and goes on to represent Greece in Miss Universe, the runner-up, B Star Hellas, goes to Miss International while the third-place Miss Hellas goes to Miss World.
